Mr. Hvide was the co-founder and ex-CEO of Prosafe Production (previously Nortrans Offshore), which was subsequently sold to BW Offshore. He is the founding partner, chairman and majority shareholder of Compass Energy Group and has more than 25 years of project management and operational experience in offshore production using FPSOs, as well as vessel construction and conversions.
A Norwegian citizen, he has lived in Singapore for more than 25 years and has a BSc from Texas A&M and MSc from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
