Challenge

Compass Energy was tasked to provide our engineering expertise in various engineering and design works. These included analysis, equipment sourcing , system upgrade feasibility studies and design.

Scope

A series of engineering and design works were executed. These included analysis of pipe reel cradle, design of stern fenders, reel bumpers, anti heeling system, stress analysis of structures, naval architecture and calculation of the pipe lay vessels, technical writing and equipment sourcing and recommendation.

Benefit

All design and engineering works were carried out utilizing regular coordination meetings with client. This ensures an optimal fit for purpose solution which is well accepted by the ship crews. All engineering deliverables were completed and submitted on schedule.

Challenge

Compass Energy was commissioned to provide a turnkey solution for two units of Dehumidifier Containers. The completed product shall be installed on FSO Gagak Rimang. This is a fast paced project and the management of the schedule of the project is of utmost importance.

Scope

Compass Energy was tasked to design two units of Dehumidifier Containers, procure the necessary equipment and fabricate the entire structure. All required drawings were submitted to Class and approved. Project management were evidenced in different phases of the job scope namely from engineering, construction and testing to delivery.

Benefit

The project was completed on time and was of the highest standard despite the tight time frame given. All tests were conducted successfully and the final product was delivered on schedule.

Challenge

To ensure timely delivery of vessel built with an emphasized standard for quality. Completion of the challenge involved efficient and timely team work and communication between client, site team and fabricators.

Scope

Compass Energy was requested by BAM International to provide a team of superintendents to act as their representatives during the construction of a Civil Construction Jack Up Barge. The vessel was constructed in a shipyard located in China.

Benefit

With organized and efficient planning and management, the vessel was constructed on schedule and delivered on time for its maiden project in Australia.

Challenge

The four units of OSVs are to be delivered on schedule with the highest of standards. Construction of the OSVs took place at a shipyard located in China.

Scope

Compass Energy provide its expertise in assisting the client in the daily site inspection and review of engineering documents from the shipyard.

Benefit

The vessels were progressively commissioned and delivered as scheduled. The vessels are now in operation and they are built to the standard specified.

Challenge

To build a multipurpose Jack Up Barge equipped with a 1000 ton crane for offshore windmill installation. The main challenge was to maintain the same high standard, if not better, than what we had built for their previous vessel, JB 117.

Scope

Review of engineering documents from fabrication yard in China and full project and construction management as Owner representatives. Compass Energy also provided various engineering support services upon the client’s request from Singapore office. This included the fuel oil system to support the award winning portable DP2 thruster system.

Benefit

Compass Energy has again delivered the vessel on schedule and of the highest quality standard. This once again proved to our client that they have chosen the right company to do the job. This helped to foster a good working relationship with our valued customer.
